Molecular Structure
What do those zigzag lines in organic chemistry actually mean? In this lesson, we’ll learn how to read and draw skeletal structures, also called line-angle formulas, bond-line structures, Kekulé structures, or stick structures. We’ll translate detailed Lewis structures into efficient molecular drawings, identify the carbon and hydrogen atoms that are implied, and develop good habits for representing heteroatoms, lone pairs, and molecular geometry clearly.
